The 12 Days of Christmas - Sharing Christ at Christmas!

Given below are suggestions for each day. Remember to be in prayer, each day, to let the Holy Spirit lead you as you share Christ. And be in prayer for all those you have shared the Gospel with.

On The First Day of Christmas - December 14th

On the first day of Christmas, share the Gospel as a Facebook post with your friends. You might explain that you are participating in The Twelve Days of Christmas, and on this first day you post a scripture related to Christmas. A good one is Isaiah 9:6-7. This scripture points out that the birth of Christ was foretold over 700 years before Jesus was actually born!

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

In Micah 5:2, it is even foretold where Jesus will be born! Bethlehem!

In Isaiah 53, Jesus death as Payment for Our sins is foretold:

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

On the Second Day of Christmas - December 15th

On the second day of Christmas, share the Gospel with a friend or acquaintance via email. If you are wondering what to say, perhaps use "Did You Know This About Christmas?" in your subject line and again quote Isaiah 9:6-7.

On the Third Day of Christmas - December 16th

On the third day of Christmas, share the Gospel with a person at a store checkout. Find a checkout that is not busy so you have a chance to talk. Don't make people wait behind you.You might ask "Are you ready for Christmas?" and then follow with "I am ready to celebrate the new life I have been given in Christ." In Second Corinthians 5 it says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" You might follow with Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" and Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

On the Fourth Day of Christmas - December 17th

On the fourth day of Christmas, share the Gospel with another friend via email. You might use a subject line like "Read This Christmas Shopping Story" and follow with an account of how you found the best Christmas gift ever. Follow with a personal testimony. You may want to note that 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!"

On the Fifth Day of Christmas - December 18th

On the fifth day of Christmas, share the Gospel on your Facebook page. In this post, perhaps share a brief version of your personal testimony of how you came to Christ. It could be titled "My Christmas Story".

On the Sixth Day of Christmas - December 19th

On the sixth day of Christmas, share the Gospel with another email friend. Perhaps use a subject line "What do you want  for Christmas?" and follow with some scriptures or your personal testimony.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas - December 20th

On the seventh day of Christmas, share the Gospel with another checkout clerk, as described in the Third Day of Christmas..

On the Eighth Day of Christmas - December 21st

On the eighth day of Christmas, share the Gospel with a neighbor. You could simply drop off a small gift like a box of candy and a card that shares some gospel verses. Some of the prophetic verses would be good to include along with some salvation related scripture. Here is a good outline, widely known as the Four Spiritual Laws:

God Has a Plan For You: John 3:16 & John 10:10
Man is Sinful, Separated From God: Romans 3:23 & Romans 6:23
Jesus Paid for Our Sins With His Death on the Cross: Romans 5:8, I Cor 15:3-6, John 14:6
We Must Receive Him and Be Born Again: John 1:12, John 3:1-8, Revelation 3:20

On the Ninth Day of Christmas - December 22nd

On the ninth day of Christmas, share the Gospel with an anonymous person on the street or other public location. For many this is difficult to do, but if you pray about it before hand, you may be surprised to find that there is actually someone waiting for you to speak with them. Public places like bus stops, public benches, and other public places where people are waiting work well here. The verses from the Eighth Day, listed above are good ones to share.

On the Tenth Day of Christmas - December 23rd

On the tenth day of Christmas, share the Gospel another anonymous person on the street or share the Gospel with a friend in a phone conversation. That conversation might go "So what special things are you doing for Christmas?" You could then share your "12 Days of Christmas" endeavor along with Isaiah 9:6-7 and other scriptures.

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas - December 24th

On the eleventh day of Christmas, share the gospel with a family member, friend or acquaintance. This will probably be a face to face or dinner table type conversation. You could perhaps ask "What is the best Christmas gift you ever got?" This opens up the conversation for you to share your best Christmas gift.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas - Christmas Day

On Christmas day, share the gospel with a family member, friend, or acquaintance. This might be a person very close to you like a parent, son, daughter, or spouse. Pray about how the Lord would lead you to share here and allow the Holy Spirit to guide this.
